I have recently implemented several updates to improve the functionality and user experience on the Tortoise Table website. One of the key tasks I completed was a comprehensive cookie audit. This involved adding a cookie consent system and addressing areas where cookies were being stored even when users rejected them. Additionally, I revamped the privacy policy to clearly outline the types of cookies the site may save if a user accepts them.

The website also features an active PHPBB Forum, which I worked to enhance by tackling issues related to form spam. While the forum already had a question-and-answer CAPTCHA system, I refined the questions to make them more challenging for automated bots. I also modified the registration process by implementing user authentication—requiring users to confirm their registration via an email link. These changes have significantly reduced the number of unwanted registrations on the forum.
